Associate, Email Operations

Boston Globe Media Partners has a compelling opportunity for an Associate, Email Operations that will focus on subscriber and lead engagement and growth, with a primary focus on newsletter operations. Our goal is to add an ambitious individual to our team that is committed to our vision of growing the business. As Associate, Email Operations, you are responsible for overseeing existing newsletter operations as well as managing new newsletter implementation from conception through ongoing sends. You will also oversee the operations for new retention and engagement tactics working alongside our editorial team. You must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, thrive both in teams and individually, and be excited and open to learning and growing with the company.

Responsibilities: 

  • Owning the execution of newsletters including creative implementation, asset management, list segmentation, and deployment.
  • Managing and scaling a large and complex newsletter program within two ESPs (Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Mailchimp)
  • Providing technical assistance and user guidelines to editorial staff.
  • Coordinate A/B testing of subject lines, send times, or other email features.
  • Updating email templates as needed.
  • Testing all emails before launch for accuracy, tracking, and readability across devices and email providers.
  • Troubleshooting all newsletters when needed at time of send.
  • When needed, assisting the Email Operations Manager with non-newsletter needs.
  • Availability outside of typical working hours for technical support.
  • Working directly with Salesforce Marketing Cloud support.

 

Qualifications & Skills: 
        

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • 2-5 years of previous experience using Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
  • Knowledge of HTML and CSS for email marketing.
  • Ability to work with C-Level business leaders.
  • Strong technical aptitude.
  • Passion and commitment for customer success.
  • Strong organizational skills and a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of productivity while managing multiple competing priorities, and work effectively under the pressure of time constraints in a fast-paced, complex, collaborative, and team-oriented environment.
