BG BrandLab, the branded content studio of Boston Globe Media, is looking for a Project Manager to join the team starting immediately.
The PM is the day-to-day project leader for all advertiser sponsored multimedia story campaigns, and reports to the BG BrandLab’s Content Director.
Create and implement a new Project Management Process from the ground up.
Partner with project teams including Writers/Producers, Art Director/Designers, Video Manager/Videographers, and Campaign Managers, to ensure that campaigns are carefully planned to deliver against client requirements in a timely and efficient way.
Lead development of project plans, including creating detailed schedules, setting deadlines at each stage of a project, and supporting teams in course-correcting as project requirements change.
Identify resource requirements for each deliverable/project and partner with the Content Direct and Senior Art Director to balance time allocations across the entire team.
Partner with Campaign Managers to ensure projects follow mandatory client workflows and all internal quality control milestones.
Communicate and escalate project issues and risks to project leads as appropriate.
Forecast resource needs for future projects and highlight potential resource gaps.
4+ years project management experience in a fast-paced environment.
Expertise in agency creative development and production processes including digital media, websites, mobile, and social marketing.
Detail-oriented, organized and able to prioritize tasks and team assignments.
Ability to manage and motivate agency team members including a willingness to support other team members with work overflow.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Knowledge of business planning tools: Google Docs, and at least one Project Management and Workflow Tool (JIRA, MS Project, Workfront, Basecamp, Wrike, Asana, etc)
