Boston Globe Media is looking for a dynamic, team-player to join our Finance Operations Department.  This position will be responsible for Order-to-Cash functions.


  • Daily interaction with the team, both onshore and offshore providing guidance for both technical and organization decisions to achieve success.
  • Identifying coverage as necessary to ensure tasks are completed on time
  • Necessary to understand all facets of the team, meaning you will have to have a complete understanding of each person's role and how each role intertwines with each other and system processes.
  • Critical thinking, problem solving and time management are essential skills necessary with this role.
  • The supervisor will have its own set of transactional work assigned but not limited to: Reporting, Approvals of funds to be returned to Subscribers, bulk Billing Changes moving subscribers from one rate to another, Approving large payment transactions as submitted by CS team.  


  • Outstanding organization skills and attention to detail in a deadline driven environment
  • Ability to demonstrate multitasking in a face paced environment
  • Ability to research issues presented to oneself, asking questions to pursue answers necessary for resolution
  • Ability to work with others collaboratively and diplomatically, all the while leading the team to success
  • Proficient in: MS office, Google apps, Slack, Naviga NCS Circ (formerly known as PBS)
  • A willingness to adapt and be audience focused, with a curious mindset and a commitment to creating an inclusive work environment 

This position is a union position covered by a collective bargaining agreement with the Boston Newspaper Guild
