Boston.com - Partnership Producer

Boston.com seeks Partnership Producer to work on a new commercial revenue venture. The Partnerships Producer is a unique opportunity to work both with journalists and the business side of a media company, collaborating closely with the Boston.com sports desk and the advertising department to build and produce an entirely new revenue stream for Boston Globe Media Partners.

Responsibilities:

• Lead production, publishing and ongoing maintenance of key Boston.com sports subsection
• Work closely with the Boston.com sports desk to identify commercial revenue opportunities
• Collaborate across advertising, newsroom, SEO and product teams to serve external clients and drive customer success
• Review and edit third party sports content to ensure it aligns with BGMP editorial standards
• Liaise daily with external vendor to drive third party content strategy
• Track performance against KPI’s and optimize accordingly

Qualifications:

• A strong understanding and passion for Boston's professional sports scene - the current landscape, the history, the people involved, and the major storylines.
• At least three years work or internship experience in publishing, news, events, advertising or marketing
• Experience working in Wordpress, especially in relation to editing and publishing
• Basic SEO skills/understanding 
• A willingness to adapt and be audience focused, with a curious mindset and a commitment to creating an inclusive work environment 

Preferred skills

• Professional experience in either content strategy, news/reporting or marketing 
• A deep interest in news media as a business
• Entrepreneurial approach to projects
• Proven ability to work well with others, collaborating across departments, teams, and business units
• Experience working directly with journalists 
• Strong written and communication skills, including a careful eye for detail
