Sales Account Executive: Strategic Accounts

Boston Globe Media Partners is growing our sales organization. We are looking for a competitive Sales Account Executive with a proven track record to help us expand our business by actively seeking and acquiring new clients in the Finance, Healthcare, Insurance, Pharma, and Retail industries.

As a Sales Account Executive you are responsible for driving strategic partnerships and initiatives with clients. We want you to serve as an integral partner with your clients for all of their sales and marketing planning needs across our products.

Responsibilities:

  • You will craft custom solutions for businesses from Boston Globe Media’s suite of products. These solutions could include digital, direct mail, events, print, social media, sponsored content (native advertising), and sponsorships to new and existing clients.
  • Uncover new opportunities informed by consumer insights and data, and identify client needs to sell accordingly.
  • Deliver smart and thoughtful approaches of how our suite of products can achieve and go beyond the clients’ expectations and goals
  • Identify new client perspectives by networking, cold calling, referrals, etc. to sell  partnership opportunities with Boston Globe Media Partners

Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree
  • 3-6 years of phenomenally successful sales experience in the finance, healthcare, insurance, retail or pharma industry, or in the media industry selling to clients in these industries
  • You are polished, highly professional, and respectful in your approach to our clients
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interpret client objectives and clearly articulate proposed media strategies and recommendations
  • Proven track record of closing high revenue opportunities with clients
  • Ability to work with C-Level business leaders
  • Familiar with all social media platforms
  • Impressive understanding of digital media and a clear understanding of the media planning and buying process
  • Proficient with Salesforce.com or similar CRM application
  • Passion and commitment for customer success
  • Ability to maintain a high level of productivity, manage multiple competing priorities, and work effectively under the pressure of time constraints in a fast-paced, complex, collaborative, and team-oriented environment
